Academic study is more positive news for Jersey

The publication of an academic report supports the positive global role of International Finance Centres

Highly regarded US economist Professor James Hines Jr of the University of Michigan and the National Bureau of Economic Research has recently published a report concluding that well-regulated international financial centres, including Jersey, play numerous positive roles in supporting growth around the world.

The report, International Finance Centers and the World Economy, is the result of 15 years of research and was commissioned by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the global professional body for practitioners working in the field of trust, estates and executorships.
